Service terms

These terms cover every order with Dunwell. Dunwell is the trading name of Michael Udousoro, a sole trader based in England. Dunwell Studio is the overall brand. Dunwell Insights (sales analysis) and Dunwell Creative (product content) are both run by him. Please read these terms before you pay.

Who these terms are for

Our services are for businesses. If you buy as a private individual, you have extra rights under UK consumer law. Those rights come first wherever they differ from these terms. See "If you buy as a consumer" below.

Your agreed scope

Before you pay, we confirm in writing what you'll get: the deliverables, the price, how you pay, the timing and how many rounds of changes are included. That written scope, and the package description on our website when you order, form part of these terms.

Booking a call or sending a brief doesn't commit you to anything.

You pay for our time, skill and the agreed deliverables, not for a particular result. We don't promise more sales, profit, savings, search rankings, views or followers. We do promise to do the agreed work with reasonable care and skill.

Payment

Prices are in US dollars. We invoice from the UK. Payment goes through Stripe's secure checkout, so we never see your card details.

Work starts once payment, your data or materials, and the agreed scope are all in place.

Dunwell Insights: your data and our findings

You send the data agreed in your scope, and you confirm you're allowed to share it with us for this work.

Please remove customer names, email addresses, phone numbers and postal addresses before you send anything, unless your scope needs them. Customer ID numbers are fine.

We check your data before the main analysis. If it can't answer the agreed question, we tell you before going further. You can then change the scope or cancel for a full refund.

Our findings are estimates based on the data you give us. They aren't financial, tax, legal or investment advice. You decide what to do with them.

Dunwell Creative: content made with AI

We create product images, videos and social content with AI tools, using the photos and clips you send us as the starting point. We don't run photoshoots.

AI can get details wrong, so we check every result against your photos before you see it. Your product's shape, colour, size, finish, logo and label text must match the real product. If something doesn't match, we fix it or make it again at no cost. We don't add features your product doesn't have.

We label AI-generated content where a platform or the law requires it.

Photos should be at least 2,000 pixels on the long side and in focus. Main views must show the whole product. Video clips should be 1080p or better. We check your material before accepting your brief. If something is missing or can't be used, we tell you what we need before any work starts.

You confirm you own the photos, clips, logos and other material you send us, or have permission to use them, and you agree that we may use AI tools to process them to make your content.

We prepare files to the platform specs agreed in your brief. Each marketplace decides for itself what it accepts, and some have their own rules about AI images, especially for the main listing image. Tell us where you sell and we'll plan your files around those rules. If a file is rejected because we missed an agreed spec, we fix it free.

Timing

Turnaround is counted in business days from the day we accept your brief and payment. Time spent waiting for your feedback, data or materials doesn't count. While we take our first orders, turnaround times are targets, not guarantees.

If we're waiting on a payment, information or an approval from you, we may pause the work after telling you, and the dates move. If a pause lasts 30 days, we may give you 7 days' notice by email that we'll close the order. If we close it, we settle up as if you had cancelled (see below).

Reviews and changes

A change is an adjustment within the original brief. A new question, more data, new products, new deliverables or a change of direction is new work. We quote for it and only start once you agree.

If we made a mistake, we fix it free. That never uses up your review. A mistake means something that doesn't match the agreed scope, such as a wrong figure, a missed spec, or a product detail that doesn't match your real product. A new preference, or a business result you're disappointed with, isn't a mistake on its own.

Closing an order

If we hear nothing from you for 7 business days after delivery, we close the order. Closing doesn't mean you approved the work. You can still report our mistakes for 30 days after the order closes, and we'll fix them free.

Cancellations and refunds

Before work starts. You can cancel by emailing info@dunwellstudio.com and get a full refund. The only exception is a third-party cost you approved in writing and that we can't get back. If there is one, we show you exactly what it was.

After work starts. You pay for:

The work charge is never more than the agreed price. We stop work as soon as we get your email, send you an itemised breakdown, and refund the rest within 14 days.

Cancelling doesn't give you unpaid deliverables, drafts or our working files. You get the finished deliverables you've paid for.

Monthly Analyst. The first term is three months. If you cancel during it, the rest of the first term is still payable. After that, you can cancel any time before your next payment date and we won't charge you again. A month already paid for isn't refunded once that month's work has started.

If we can't put things right. If we can't fix a real problem with our work within a reasonable time, we refund the affected part, or the whole price where the law requires it. If we end a project and it isn't your fault, we refund all work not yet done and make no other charge.

Refunds go back through Stripe, in US dollars, to the card you paid with.

Who owns what

What you send us. You keep all rights in your data, photos, videos, logos and text. You let us use and copy them only as needed to do your work.

Your finished files. Once you've paid, you can use the agreed final files for your business, anywhere and for as long as you like. You can share them with your staff, advisers, agencies, printers and the platforms you sell on. We won't sell or license the files we made for you to anyone else.

What we keep. We keep the rights in our own methods, code, templates and tools, and we may reuse our general skills for other clients. Editable files, notebooks, code and spreadsheet models are included only where your scope lists them. Paying doesn't transfer copyright. That needs a separate signed agreement.

Drafts and previews are for your review only. Please don't publish them.

Third-party parts. Fonts, music and stock elements (for example from Canva or Adobe) come with their own licences. You may use them only as part of the finished file, not on their own. We tell you about any limits or extra costs before delivery.

AI-generated parts. The law may not protect AI-generated content in the same way as other work, so we can't promise that every element is unique or that you can stop others making something similar. This doesn't excuse us from meeting the agreed specs.

Your own later edits, and uses outside the agreed brief, aren't covered by our free fixes.

Our portfolio. We only name you as a client or show your work if you give us separate written permission. Pilot clients are never required to give a testimonial or permission.

Confidentiality and your customers' data

We keep what you share confidential and use it only for your project. We never use it in marketing, in other clients' work, or to train AI models. If you'd like a mutual NDA before you share anything, ask and we'll send one.

If your data includes personal information about your customers, your business is responsible for that information and we handle it on your behalf. When we do, we will:

Some of our suppliers store data outside the UK. Where they do, they use the safeguards UK law requires.

Files: delivery, storage and deletion

We can't promise to recover files after these periods.

Our responsibility

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't let us limit.

For business customers: we aren't liable for lost profits, lost sales, lost business or indirect losses. Our total liability for an order is limited to the price you paid for it. For Monthly Analyst, it's limited to the fees you paid in the three months before the problem.

If you buy as a consumer

Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer. Before you order, we'll give you the cancellation information the law requires.

You normally have 14 days to cancel a service contract. We only start within those 14 days if you ask us to. If you then cancel before we finish, you pay only for the work done up to that point, where the law allows it. If you asked us to start early and we finish the work within the 14 days, you lose the right to cancel. We'll ask you to confirm you understand this before we start.
